I shot it a few times out of a Mossberg SA20. Crazy patterns! I don’t think it would cycle from mag to the chamber.
I still sticking with 1 7/16oz.

Re: Pics of Invector plus patterns IC .665 TSS?
I would bet .665 IC in Invector Plus would be ridiculous tight or maybe even blown. I would try a .675 IC or ask them to make a .680 for you.
I like the .680 Carlson's in my INV+.

Re: 90/93
I loaded up 10 of the 90/93's this spring to pattern but never got around to shooting them, I shoot a M2 and when I cut the cushion off the 93 wad I cut it right down flush with the top of the gas seal. My OAL ended up being 2.420 to 2.435 which should cycle fine in the Benelli, what I am wondering...

Re: 90/93
90/93 all the way for me. I shoot a 20 gauge Affinity. Any Italian design auto you have, your gonna need to do a lil hull trimming and make sure you cut the 93 wad low enough to give the finished load a short enough overall length to feed/cycle. If I was shooting a pump or breech loader, Hal's MOA ...

Re: What turkey gun?
Not to hijack thread, but what makes an M2 worth the money? I have had 2 M2 20 gauges and 1 M2 12 gauge. Great feeling gun for sure! Hardly any difference in components from the Franchi Affinity which is hundreds less.

Re: What turkey gun?
I have used both. Both will kill to extreme ranges and both can be choked to give nice forgiving hunting patterns or to get laser like patterns. For twenties I would look into the Sa20 turkey. Thing is compact, light, and in my experience shoots straight. Also comes drilled and tapped with a rail. A...

Re: Choke recommendations Browning INV +
I have shot about every size choke available in 12 inv+. Just depends on what ya want in a pattern. To lay em all in the 10” and impress your buddies, ya need .665ish. To have just a million in the 10” and good 10”-20” coverage I picked a .680 Carlson’s.

Re: Which Choke?
.665 IC will probably give a smoking pattern. A Carlson's .675 would probably throw a more forgiving hunting pattern.

My Browning Gold does the same thing, real sticky too.
If you have it dipped they will strip off that stuff and then dip.
Should be good to go!

Re: why 9 over 8 tss?
After using TSS for 10 seasons, I'm convinced it doesn't really make any difference. You would have to get to extreme ranges to notice any difference in performance on turkeys. Which leads most to the 20’s or smaller. Both sizes kill a long ways, so you can lighten the payload and still get plenty ...

That cane call of yours is killer Gil. I lost mine crawling through some thick nasty briars on a creek bottom. I almost cried when I got back to the truck.

Favorite 12 gauge load
I get between high 300's and low 400's with Hal's 2.25 load depending on which choke I use. It is a smoker. I got 370/320 pattern with Barry's 2.25 ounce load. I have only shot it with a .680 in Browning Gold. You can't find a more simple recipe to load. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180410/9eb...

The only thing that I have heard was that the actual wad was softer and more pliable than the old flight control wad.
