Haha...that's cool. I just thought maybe it would save somebody else from making the same mistake. I learned a long time ago not to buy calls without running them first...well except mouth calls.

By sounding good, do mean a good rhythm? If so, yes. If no, my answer would have to be no. I have a call that is as nice a looking call you will see but it sounds awful. If I was a custom call maker that made it, I would go back to the drawing board or quit making calls. It's that bad. I've use all...

That sounded absolutely nothing like a gobble to me. You can't rely on feedback from barnyard turkeys...they gobble at anything.

Obviously, this is the new fad in turkey calls. Everybody just trying to come up with something new to seperate a turkey hunter from his money. Really soon, you'll see custom call makers jumping on this bandwagon trying to make a buck while it's hot. :roll: It'll be interesting to see how many crapp...

I think it depends on how much you hunt with said partner. I imagine once you hunt with someone long enogh, you get to know what eachother is gonna do in most situations and it becomes more and more comfortable. As in any relationship, there would have to be trust and that has to be earned over time...

If I'm being truthful...NO. I love calling them up for my kids to kill, but other than that, I'd rather be hunting alone.

Sure hope everything turns out ok. My son took a baseball to the eye a couple of years ago and suffered a torn retna and they were able to fix it up and restore his vision, so I have faith that Doug's situation will turn out well. Get well soon, Gobbler!
