Re: .410 pattern. Would you hunt it

I would hunt

I have seen factory chokes do 140-160 with my foxtrot 383 Strokers. And with a outstanding factory choke 170-180’s. With a Indiancreek they are consistently hitting 180-200. That’s with 9.5’s. 9’s are doing good for 150

did you put a limb saver or something like it back on, or the org. recoil pad back on?

I don't get real excited about technology but I have been impressed with limb saver pads
A thin style kick eez pad. It might not be enough pad

We will see

crow wrote: March 2nd, 2020, 9:05 am Do the 36" barreled H&R 12 gauge topper's have any more value than the 28-30" models, enough that you would't cut a 36" down to be threaded?
You wouldn’t hurt the value

I would want a 22-24” barrel. Would be a perfect balance

Re: H&R Turkey model 12ga

Nice looking setup, thats going to be a handy turkey gun I recently shot an old H&R topper 12ga, just under 6lbs with a limb saver slip on pad. This was with the 3" Fed factory 15g HVWT's, I didn't think recoil was bad at all you could load up some at 1150-1200fps, I don't think you'd feel...

I remember way back in the day on the NWTF forum you posting pictures of that 10ga. Without the steel bar in the stock they tend to make a guy go cross eyed

Re: H&R Turkey model 12ga

I have one in a 10 gauge. Took the original butt off that had the weight in it and replaced with a aftermarket hollow pistol grip (no weight). Took a man not right in the head to shoot it, that joker is bad news. Several years ago my Nephew wanted me to take him turkey hunting, he had never been. H...
