more 28 ga Trulock .520 patterns

Since the CZ choke shot so well, I got Trulock to make me one for the Franchi 48AL and the Ithaca 37. The weather wasn't ideal with 10-12 mph crosswinds. But here are the 40 yd, 10" and 10-20" patterns with a Trulock .520 from this weekend - same 1.5 oz load of TSS 9-1/2s: Ithaca 37 http://i243.phot...

Re: The future for 20ga reloading

I was thinking about the 20 ga future, and was reminded of the past.... In the early years of my involvement with small TSS shot, after figuring out what the possibilities with a 12 ga and TSS 9s and 8s was, I wanted to see what could be done with the 20 ga. I remember very fondly the day back in 20...

Re: New England Arms 410

Never drilled in tapped it, but my NEF 20" barrel .410 does about 85 in the 10" at 40 yds, with 9s. Mine shoots several inches high.

I 2nd the 9-1/2s.

Re: The future for 20ga reloading

No worries. Got plenty of alternates.

Since they have chosen not to listen to customers' pleas on the VP wads, BPI has lost and will lose a lot of reloading equipment business to Precision. ;)

...bring on spring!!!! Not quite so fast... I still had a western fall tag left and made the flight west early yesterday morning and drove down to the pre planned hunting spot with enough time left over to squeeze in a 1-1/2 hour late afternoon hunt. We had hens answer our calls and made a move on ...

My brother had been unable to find a flock of mountain toms the last three times out, but finally found some today. Called them over with a Quaker Boy World Champ and took one with his old 2-3/4" Wingmaster and 2 oz of TSS 8s. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/wyogoob/Fix%20Pis%20for%20others/b...

Gil, I think the key is laying the gun across your lap ready to shoot while you doze. I've killed two turkeys in my life like that, and both were in the last year and a half. I'm beginning to think maybe it's a legitimate strategy. As I get older and slow down some, I'm thinking it'll become ...

beautiful day to be in the woods

Went out today and hunted hard all morning, but was unable to find anything. Found a nice place to sit down and eat lunch, and decided to stretch out and take a nap. Dozed off a little, and laid around for about an hour or so, and called every now and then. About 1:40, immediately after a lost yelp ...
