Re: First patterns need advice

If you post a pic of the bad patterns that may be helpful. Also you may could drop down to 2.25 oz load and actually put up better numbers.

Re: browning 20 gauge choke suggestion

I shot .585 Carlson's in Sx3 and Browning gold 20. Pics of both are in the 20 gauge combos thread Hal started. Gold went 280 in 10" and 250 in 20", SX3 went 320 and 208 in 20".

Re: First patterns need advice

I would probably shoot the .670. lol Try the factory full and it should be good. Also, another option would be to duplex with some 9's.

Re: Franchi affinity vs sa-08 vs Stoeger 3020 which one?

I've got a buddy that loves his 26" affinity, I'm going to take my chances with the wife killing me and get the M2 20 gauge this summer, I just love the way that gun feels and points, it feels like a natural extension, I may sell my Sx3 12 gauge to offset the cost though and avoid the death penalty...

Re: Newbie to TSS and this forum

To me, it looks bit over choked. I bet your 10" number would go up if you opened up your choke. 2 oz load of 9's should be 340 plus in 10" and 250 plus in 10-20" circle easy.

Re: FLUSH MOUNT CHOKE FOR 835

Have a buddy shooting 2oz of TSS 9's thru .717 flush choke in 20" barre and he gets awesome hunting patterns. I bet with 8.5's it will be a great hunting pattern.

Re: Opinions - Cerakote or Dip

I love the Cerakote tiger stripe I got from black doves. It was way more than I wanted to spend, but it looks great and has held up awesome.
If I had to do it all over again, I would just have got all the metal done in black. I wouldn't dip one.

I would think the factory full would give you that kind of pattern with the 2.5oz load.

Re: Does anyone find the need to trim hulls for handloading?

I think the BPI flattens them out, I much prefer the Precision Reloading roll bit to the BPI. It is a cheaper alternative to the GAEP.
