It does for me Gunslinger. The 2.25oz is a pretty grotesque load of sweet overkill.

Re: 20 guage tss choke

575-585 makes for nice evenly distributed patterns. There is no need for the ten ring to have more than 250. A filled 10-20 allows for some forgiveness inreal world situations like bird moving, adrenaline flowing, and awkward shooting positions. Most of the tight patterns are real good 15" patterns...

Re: Taurus Judge with TSS?

I would think as close as the bird would need to be given the sparse pattern, that penetration would not be an issue. So lead 9's may be the choice when shooting 10ish yards. I saw a video where guy crawled on one with a fan and shot him at about 3 steps.

My bro's did this with .555 IC and 1 5/8oz of 9's. This was the 26" barrel regular model SA-20.
He loves his, lightweight and shoots straight.

Re: 20 gauge choke ?

I would say it depends on what you are looking for. A super tight pattern or a more forgiving 50/50 pattern. Which load are you going to shoot? John Doe on here shoots awesome hunting patterns with a .575 carlson's( I think thats it) it does 260ish in the 10" circle and 260ish in the 20". Many get s...

I haven't shot TSS through mine, but I love the gun! Like Gophert said the .665 IC is probably a good starting point. Probably be tight! Let us know how she does.

Re: Waterfowl loads

Okay fellas, I am rolling up some 20 gauge waterfowl loads that are duplex 1/4 tss × 3/4 steel. Using some of Hal's proven data as well as tweaking and working with other components and making sure I keep them safe during trials. Namely running some pt2092 wads. I have Sam1 and pt2090 as well but p...
