Nomads Turkey Vest

I heard through the grapevine about Nomads new turkey vest coming out and low and behold Vaturkey (RickyButks) texted pictures of it. I wish it had the claw slings, otherwise I am buying a couple and putting my Dixon up for safe keeping.

Re: Federal BOR Lock bullets..

Hey Brice, have you tried the Thor Bullets? Basically a full bore Barnes ML Bullet. They got there technology from Barnes, and suppose to load a lot easier!!! I've got some ordered, and should be here any day now. I will keep you posted, when I get them.7FB62A11-7919-4C8C-B06D-9C35A8B62985.jpeg No ...

Re: What is the plan for afternoon hunting?

I wish Indiana still stopped at noon. Since they made it all day hunting, I've probably only hunted in the afternoon two or three times. Don't really have a strategy. Im glad they have all day hunting. I love to take my family hunting.. sometimes the only chance they get is in the afternoons being ...

Federal BOR Lock bullets..

Absolutely sucked! out of 10 bullets only 2 hit the 3" circle at 50 yards. Trying to dial them in and they would float all over the place. I think by the way they seat, if you dont have it exactly 100% perfect every time, they wont group. No one has time for that! I want to pour the powder and seat ...

Re: Chasing The Elusive Wisconsin Whitetail.

ABout 10 years ago I had seen a group of kids riding around on 4 wheelers shining and carrying a shotgun. I told them boys that they would get in big trouble if they got caught. Had a doe shot in our field and a couple nights later a neighbor called and said he seen lights and heard a fourwheeler be...

Re: TSS buckshot opinions

Hoobilly as far as a 80 yard shot I think you could kill a deer at that distance because it has been done. The main reason why I wanted to switch to the TSS for the buck shot is not so much the distance but the ability to kill effectively. I have shot deer in the past with regular buck shot at clos...

Re: O/U doubled

If it was dirty the scenario you describe with it hanging up halfway and the recoil of the other barrel firing plus her finger on the trigger is a good possibility. I would be talking to Franchi about that and maybe having it looked at to make sure. Never know Sounds like fun since no one was hurt. ...

Re: TSS buckshot opinions

I wonder if 80 yard shots on coyotes or deer in a field would work good with a red dot. Your not actually pinpointing a gobblers neck, so
a running deer or coyote would be like a CQCB weapon.. point and shoot.

nothing better than a dead coyote! my cousin had one pop up in the middle of a push, he shot it. if he wouldnt have shot it, a crazy tined monster would have been within 80 yards of him. It turned around and fled back across the stickweed patch. But he did shoot a old buck that is also called Gimpy ...

I talked to Stuart at Indian Creek about three weeks ago.......he said no Remchoke 28 gauge yet. He said they still had plans to make them, just may be January or so before they are produced. I am anxiously awaiting them to make one.

Re: Turkey Decoys in the timber.

When hunting the mountains down in eastern Ky I usually never use the decoys. If it’s raining a lot I will find a place to set up in the bottoms and stake a Jake in place. For here in Indiana we don’t have huge wooded areas. A 40 acre woods is not common, so I mostly run m gun. Now with late archery...

I personally never owned a Stoeger, but I know sever who have owned them. One was shot a ton for waterfowl and developed a spur on the bolt and we had to sand it and clean it up otherwise it was a good shooter. for turkey, youll never wear it out

I ain't sayin' nothin', because I don't know nothin'. I think what we need is a shortened 28 gauge shell, in a short 28 gauge gun, using .410 strength loads, going out a suppressor with a built in turkey choke. Make that suppressor titanium. I like how you think. Surrounding gobblers would never he...

I would think they would be just a effective/ineffective in timber as they would a field. Especially his choice of a hen and Jake combo. One advantage might be that the dekes might allow him to get away with a little more movement by drawing the attention to them vs a gobbler that comes in surveyin...
