Getting ready for Unicoi
I just finished drilling 100 blanks, some regular trumpets and some short trumpets. That took about a week. Now to figure out which 30 or so I'm gonna get turned first in time for the greatest custom callmakers show on earth... Unicoi !! If you are coming to the show and have any requests let me kno...

Re: Nest raiders
Thankfully here in Ga they made coon and possum season open year round about a year ago and NO LIMIT on either. Hunting or trapping.
I trap year round and get rid of quite a few but they are still thick as ticks around here.

Re: Thanks for the participation...
I found one that needed 6 names so I added "spin again" as the 6th name. Shuffled it 3 times and then spun and the winner is
CROW
Congrats Crow!!
I took a video of the spin and will try to figure out how to add that into this post. Otherwise I can share it with you from my phone.

Thanks to you guys who participated in the travel trumpet hunt this year. I just got it back from Pedro and it's time to give it a new home with one of you guys! I gotta find an online app to do the spinny thing and let it pick a winner. I'll look for that and get this done in a little while. Jamey

Re: Over Under VS Semi Dove Guns
Even with a dog, shooting doubles in fields with cover is a sure fire way to lose one bird, or spend more time looking for birds on the ground than in the sky as action can be fast and short. One field owner asks that people only shoot one at a time as many birds are lost shooting doubles. Gil If y...

Re: Over Under VS Semi Dove Guns
There is nothing that is more fun to shoot than my 28ga 687 grade 4 in a dove field. I may not kill the most birds on the field but I have fun with that little gun!

Another great bird!!
Glad y'all have been able to have some success with the call. I guess we need to have the drawing before long to see which one of y'all will be its new owner!

Re: How you all covering your red dots in the rain?
A buddy didn't realize what a raindrop will do to the sight picture if the emitter is wet and paid the price with a miss. A 3 MOA dot will look like lava lamp in the screen if a drop of water hits it. Gil This... A little water on the outside of the reflector doesn't hurt much as I hunt with both e...

Re: What wood for box call for SE
Darren Dawkins makes the best sounding box I have used. Dan Harris makes a great box as well. If you like the Lynch style box, either fool proof or two sided, then contact Allen Jenkins and get one of his. He used to own Lynch and still makes the same style call as a custom box and waaaay better qua...

Re: Need help with roll crimper for 410
BPI always makes ugly crimps.
I have the gaep and a Precission Reloading tool and the best crimps come if I use the gaep first and then hit them again with the PR. Little time consuming but turns out the best that way. Neither one by itself looks as good.
