Re: Anybody made a copper surface call?

I run a Neal Hermann diamond wood on everything. I’ve found no surface it won’t run on. I also have a Fowler snakewood that’s pretty much universally good.

Re: Happy Resurrection day

The resurrection is the hope we have that there is no finality in the grave. Just as the cross reminded us of the price paid for sin. He paid a debt He did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay.

Hunt later in the season. Other than Alabama and Florida, home, I go to most states after the first and usually the second week.

Re: It's just not fair

Years ago I was invited by a friend to hunt an area I'd never been before on private land. Sure enough, I heard the gobble and he answered. I then heard a grinding, rattling mechanical noise behind me at about 100 years. I was between the noise and the gobbler. Shortly after the grinding stopped, t...

This will be almost 20 years of Alabama turkey hunting. It’s a steep learning curve at the first. I walked a lot!!!! Good advice, grab a map and start. I’ll be there on the 25th!!!! Good luck!!

I believe the houge stocks are just one size and it’s to fit the stock from a 12 gauge to a 20. Could be wrong though Yes, if I were guessing, I'd say same stock as 12, cut back and spacer/adapter added to fit the 20. The photo of the 12 doesn't appear to show a spacer. I just like the color and te...

Re: Most productive box call

I hardly ever carry a box call other than a Richard Shively “Super Yelper” scratch box. A few years ago I carried a Woodhaven real hen cherry that Jim Pollard tuned for me when he worked at The Tackle Box in Ft Smith Ar. I still keep it in the truck in turkey season but haven’t had it out in a coup...

I am using plastic wad cups. And a plastic gas seal over the powder, so I figure a osc made from a meat tray probably won’t add much.
