Re: Burris fast fire 4 sight in

I only shoot flying turkeys, it’s unethical to shoot a bird while on the ground or in a tree. They don’t call it wing shooting for nothing!!!!

Re: Tips on Sighting in Turkey Gun with Red Dot?
When sighting in a shotgun you need to take into consideration that it shoots like a bad grouping rifle so in all fairness you need to shoot multiple times. If you really want to sight it in good you will need to shoot multiple times at a target until you blow a hole, that hole is your average shot....

They will loosen your fillings up!! I know a guy that bought one when they first came out with the 3.5 inch chamber. He killed a turkey with it and complained about shoulder pain for 2 weeks. Ended up fractured his collar bone!!!

Re: Legs and Thighs
Haven’t tried the instant pot yet but my old tried and true method is to throw legs and thighs in the pressure cooker and cook them for 30 minutes. Let cool and shred and remove the leg tendons. Then put in egg noodles or just warm up and make sandwiches with mayo. Not near as good as fried breast b...

I currently hunt with a 11-87 3inch. I don't think you can make mine jam. I have had it 18 years, replaced the o ring several times just as a preventative. Weight don't bother me any but it is a couple pounds hevier than a pump gun.

Stand up half way behind a tree if it is real brushy at ground level. Call softer and scratch some leaves. He wil get in your lap.

Re: Hung up birds
Leave your calls in your pocket and squirrel hunt them. If your in hilly terrain slip up on them while there on the roost and get uphill from the 100 yards or so and when he flies down he should be close to being in range. It's not a gentlemens hunt but sometimes you gota do what ya gota do!!!

The next time it happens!! Lol If time is on your side(usually it isn't). Take a small container such as a small coffee container and fill with oil.
