Re: WTB H&R camo single barrel
I have been watching some 10 GA singles on gunbroker. They are going for $500 to $1,000 lately. The $500 are the H&R model 176 without choke tubes and no drill/ tap. The $1,000 guns are threaded and tapped. I paid $79 for mine back in the 80's, lol

I bought a Buice 3 years ago, is he still making calls and taking orders? Heard he was cutting back due to some health issues?

Re: Hal's 10ga TSS recipe/Rhode Island public land bird
How is the recoil on that 3 oz. load? I shoot Hal's 2.5 oz recipe in an H&R single barrel and I dont think I can stand any extra recoil! It does , however, kill everything you point it at to distances way out there.

Yep, Tommy's 3 inch 2 oz load in the Rio hull is awesome, but I think the Rio hull is hard to find now.

Re: Georgia season changes
Something has to be done. The population is nowhere near what it was 15-20yrs ago. The legal Alabama harvest was up 53% last season over the season before. That doesn't sound like we have a declining population, and yet they went with more restrictions anyway. I am going turkey hunting, but I will ...

Always place a trail camera facing north or south for best results, regardless of brand. I read this on a forum and started practicing it and it works.

Re: Selling Firearms Online via Private Sales
If you can find a local FFL that sells on gunbroker a lot they may do it for a flat fee you negotiate on the front end. Then the FFL will handle the money exchange and shipping to buyers FFL. Gunbroker has a list of approved FFL's in your area on their website. Call a couple of them and see what you...

I settled for truchoke in a similar situation once. Know that it severely limits your being able to experiment with chokes and also kills your resale value. You may be better off financially to put it back on ebay and try to get your $50 back.

Re: advantages of a trumpet
I bought a Billy Buice trumpet 1 1/2 years ago and I may not be quite ready to use it this year. Heck of a learning curve. When I hit a good sequence it is awesome. Hit 1 bad note in there and the whole sequence stinks!

Re: Tru choke 28 ga threads??
Mike Orlen did a 10 ga single barrel for me in tru Choke and sumtoy made me a choke. It puts up numbers I am happy with, but if it didn't I would be basically screwed on economically getting other tubes to try. I will never thread anything else if I cant get invector, invector+, Mobil, Crio, remchok...

Wouldnt surprise me. My son does a lot of hog hunting at night with a thermal and said he occasionally sees turkeys roosted in trees on field edges while they are scanning fields for hogs. They show up very good on a thermal.

The 20 ga loads that use 300 MP powder are the 2 oz and 2 1/8 oz of shot . I have yet to load either, but me and others I know have had issues of the primers wanting to pop out of even 1 5/8 oz loads in 20 gauge semi autos,. At first I thought maybe excess pressure, but triple checked my loads and c...

Re: Bad for us good for turkey numbers?
About 10 years ago the Mississippi river flooded all of the river hunting clubs inside the levee on Mississippi side forcing all of those hunters East to the hills about an hour away. The 10,000 acre WMA I was hunting had historically reported about 35 gobblers harvested each year for past 7-8 years...

Every smith told me a slightly different number on inside and outside diameter they were comfortable with blah blah blah. My suggestion is get anything b...
