I killed an Osceola with them a couple of years ago. I highly recommend them. They have a lot of land and have almost 100% kill rate. I would definitely go back.

Re: Stevens 301 stock xtra full choke?
I got the .380 IC. average 180 in the 10 with 9.5s handloads. And around 130 in the 10-20". I'm pleased. I also tried factory, jebs, and CompNchoke. All were less than 140 in the 10. Indian Creek all the way.

Lacrosse Aerohead Sport Snake boot. Most comfortable boot I've ever worn. Just like tennis shoes. Order a size down from your normal lacrosse size.

Re: Which gun would you take to the woods?
It's a toss up for 40 yards. Steve Roberts observed in his guns that the 70% rule from 40 to 50 yards didn't hold true for the 13/16 oz. load because of sub 1000 fps velocity, but did hold true on the 870nm load's velocity. I have more flyers with the 870nm load that are off the 3' wide paper, but ...

Which gun would you take to the woods?
Yildiz shooting #10s or Stevens 301 shooting #9s? Tried many shells combinations and these loads shot the best in each gun. I was hoping for more in the 10" from both guns but they are still both 40yd guns. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190311/076170abb2e89ed4da54743bfe7eb159.jpg https://u...

I shoot the factory full in my sbe2. Right at 300 in the 10 and over 250 in the 20. I would start there.

Buffer in a .410
Does anyone use buffer to fill wad when loading 13/16, or 370nm? When I load the 13/16 in tps wad I have almost a quarter of an inch space. I saw someone said they use styrofoam. Should I not worry about it?

Re: New Stevens 301 Turkey .410
Well mine came in today. It's pretty sweet. Weighs exactly 5lbs, which is definitely heavier than my yildiz. I don't mind because the barrel is beefer. Gun balances well at just over 42". Can't wait to see how it patterns compared to the yildiz. The last pic shows the length compared to my 870 ...

Re: 13/16 vs the 370NM load
I haven't counted the 370nm, but was getting 170s in the 10" and 150s in the 20" with the 13/16. You could just tell it was more open. I will try the styrfoam and overshot card over the phone trick regardless.

13/16 vs the 370NM load
Has anyone else experienced tighter patterns with Hal's 13/16 ounce .410 load over the 370NM? I was really hoping the 370NM would pattern better because the pressure is lower and it has a few more pellets. I'm shooting the Yildiz. .410 barrel cut and choked by Sumtoy. I am bore snaking between each ...

Franchi 48al issue
Has anyone mounted a ff3 on their Franchi 48al 28gauge? If so, have you had any problem with the bolt hitting the screws holding the base on? The bolt was hitting on mine. Before I knew it was happening it pushed the screws back through the receiver stripping it out. Any incite would be appreciated....

Yildiz .410 pattern
William at Sumtoy cut down my barrel to 24" and choked my Yildiz .410. He also put a Burris ff3 base on. I'm very pleased with the results.

Where to buy screws?
I bought a couple Sumtoy bases for my Benelli shotguns. My receiver is d&t from the factory, I believe 8-40 screws. The screws that came with the bases are too small. Also holes in bases are too small for 8-40 screws. My questions are, where is the best place to pic up a few screws? How long do ...

I have the Hatfield and not a yildiz, so I'm interested to see how the final product performs.
