I've got both. Venom hands down just for the ten light intensities alone

That's about the exact same pattern I shot out of a bps 28. I've ran tss thru every gauge in the bps and to me have been the best patterning. Just so dang heavy

Re: Gobblers on the limb
I've always heard about this staying in a tree longer stuff but have never seen it. I have seen them come in though when it was so dark I had to wait a few minutes to shoot. With that said, I rarely get the opportunity to setup on a roosted bird. If I do and am in a good setup and have the advantage...

Re: Good Gobbling Morns
I've seen em gobble in the best and worst weather conditions and vice versa. There's no rhyme or reason. The only thing I've banked on and it hasn't failed yet is when I've had a string of warm weather late in the season and a cold snap comes through the next calm high pressure morning they seem to ...

That's what I did with cork. I just punch out what I need. Buy a punch set and no more having to order for certain gauges

I'm going to get to hunt em in the snow. Don't know how much but the mtn was white and looked to be hanging on the trees pretty good. Cold but I just hope this dang wind lays. It's been hitting 40 mph all day. I'll be in Grayson county

Several over 400. One stumpy witnessed that busted me at 8 steps. He had to be close to half mile.

Yep small gap. As long as it mates up inside you're all goodDeom wrote:Does anybody else that is shooting an M2 with an IC choke have a gap between the end of the barrel and the choke? I expect a little gap to show that the choke is seated, but the gap on mine is right at an 1/8" and it just looks like crap.

Re: Henned up theory busted
Probably the #1 excuse I hear. Truth is most gobblers are henned up at some point everyday before, during and after the season. You either figure out how to killed henned up gobblers or you spend most of your time trying to find a lonely gobbler. Exactly. You either adapt or waste a lot of season t...

Re: Tss
I killed a couple with that shiny stuff. But the shine is why I switched back. You need to go back as I figured out the advantage. When you shoot at the gobbler on a sunny day the glare coming off the shot blinds him and he can't see which way to run. It's like spot lighting deer but during the day...

Re: Henned up theory busted
I know what your saying. Anymore our Toms, if you can find any, are henned up from March thru May even into June. Days of hearing 2 or 3 from one spot have been long gone for a long time. Even with the lower hen population there's enough that it's hard to find a lone bird or even one that gets lonel...

Re: Drill Press?
I bought this one. It's highly rated on Amazon. I've used it several days with a wire brush cleaning up a bunch of rusty crap and so far it's worked like a charm. Loaded a few shells with it to and it worked great. Use the lowest speed whatever you get http://m.homedepot.com/p/WEN-8-in-5-Speed-Drill...
