Re: IC 555

I ended up settling on the IC .562 last year after some reading on here. I ended up north of 400 in the 10" ring.

Re: TSA Problems

that is a problem. If I ever travel via airplane, they will have to go into a plastic ammo case. Per most airline rules, ammo must be in original box, so they were just following their own rules. Best way to fly with firearms and shells without hassle is to have your game tight. Correct case, corre...

Re: Preserving a pliable fan

Seem to have figured it out.

1 hour in coleman fuel. Dry. 2 hours in a mixture of deet and Borax. Most important part is making sure to get all the fat and meat off the quills since if you don't they will stick together and not allow you to spread the fan.

Preserving a fan to stay pliable?

Want it pliable to use for fanning. Have one a former friend preserved in some manner that lasted about 3 years until it got wet last spring. Not sure how he preserved it. Nice to be able to fold it up and put it in the back of your vest.

Preserving a pliable fan

I'd like to preserve a fan to stay pliable. What I've been doing is cleaning, soaking in Coleman fuel for an hour and then a dusting of borax. Even with just a dusting of borax it still stiffens up pretty good. Is just Coleman fuel enough to remove the fat and preserve the skin or is there a differe...
