Re: Broadhead selection
I think it was a guillotine that was used in a video several years ago that literally took of a turkeys head
with a neck shot.

Re: Broadhead selection
Can't help much with the broadhead but, from I have been told, a shot at the wing joint
or the base of the tail is best or maybe a spin shot from the back.
I used to have some pics showing the kill areas. I'll try to find them if they'd help.

Re: great turkey hunting tip
When I hit the woods, my thought is: "Will they gobble this morning?" If they do, great.
If not, another day well spent in the woods & there's always tomorrow.

Maybe that should be included in the score: Spur length, beard length, weight, & size of boner.

Re: Aging gobblers
IMHO, beards aren't a real accurate gauge for aging as they can be shortened by beard rot of frozen off. In rocky areas, spurs can be worn down & wouldn't be real accurate. The following is from the site that exists no longer. "Gobblers with spurs one-half inch or less are juveniles, 5/8 in...

on the board that shall not be named, someone was busting bad on many of us because we didn't agree with his so called "ethics" which we found questionable. I decided he needed some guidance & came up with this little ditty. I was looking for something else & found this. It struck ...

Re: Calls that seem to work when nothing else will
There have been a few times where a gobble tube has gotten a response. I have also just shut-up for an hour or so then tried my go to glass over slate. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Other times, I quietly call: "Here turkey, turkey, turkey." & darned if that Ronnie guy doesn't sho...

Don't even get us started on how the nwtf treated the members of the old board. George remember if I hadn't sent a email to someone asking if they was still going to have the board and she said no. No one would have know about them shutting it down. It’s a good thing Or a few of us might have burnt...
