Re: Hognutz
If I get out on the 27th. it’ll be a 26 day hospital stay ! Hopefully there are some cute nurses. I found that that made the stay just a little more easy & pleasant. I actually had 1 that deer hunted so we talked a lot about that & another that like to cook so there were some recipes swapped.

Re: Best box call?
IMHO, there is no 1 best call but there are as many best calls as there are turkey hunters. I would guess that most hunters have tried many calls before settling on what the best call is for them. Mine is a Ron Clough of Close Calls, the Thanks Giving Call. It has brought many birds to my gun & ...

Better than the Eclipse!!
Sitting on my deck watching the eclipse. Just seconds after total, a large bird flew into a tree across the road. I thought it might be an owl. When the sun was about 3/4 back, I went in the house, got the binocs & checked out the "owl." It was a baldy!! That really got the juices flow...

Re: Food plot
Good for you Tom! My plot was basically a flop. I don't think I'm going to mess with it again due to the restrictions the landowner puts on me with fertilizer, etc. Where I deer hunt, I am literally surrounded by food plots. The land owners do all the fertilizing & planting at no cost to or wor...

Not a Video But, IMHO, a Great Pic
07/10/2009, I was headed to the lumber yard & spotted a doe with triplets just off the road. The 3rd fawn was to the right & they never got close enough to get all 4 deer in the same pic. It almost seemed like it knew I was taking its pic & posed for me. One of my best pics . 07-10-009a....

Re: Favorite Turkey?
I have a lot of “most memorable” birds but this is the 1 that stands out the most as he was a hard earned bird. My most memorable bird was taken on 05/21/2010 at 09:21 A.M. in Norwich, Chenango County, NY. We had worked this bird hard in 3 different but attached fields for 5 days & he managed to...
