Re: Longbeard 3.5" #4's
I now some of you don't visit the Old Gobbler I though I would share; Guy tested his Mossy 835 with Sumtoy shooting Longbeard. 4's!!!! And put up 173 and 175 in 10" at Lasered 40 Muzzle to target. That's worth seeing. Not really when you consider that only leave 100 pellets for out side the 10...

Re: Call
I kind of see it as the ford model T vs a Ferrari. New vs old. Sure a model T will get you where you are going but the Ferrari gets there faster, looks better and over all leaps and bounds above a model T

busted a bird at 54 yards this year, never even moved after the shot. had 9 pellets hit the thick part of the breast. went through the beast, through the thick breast bone and was just under the skin on the off side

Re: Need help with a choke
remmington super full - I believe this is what JohnDoe is running and has good results. I took a buddy out last week to shoot his 20ga 870 and he was using a HS strut undertaker Non ported choke (Walmart choke) and with the 1 5/8 load was shooting 281 in the 10 and 254 in the 20. nice even pattern. ...

Re: What a relief from my Goof up last Archery Season!!
As for the shot, I wasn't there. And what you usually see on video looks a further and tighter than what it actually is. The video's certainly not good enough for me to judge a mans character and ethics. As far as the anti's go, screw'em. They wouldn't like it any better if the arrow had found it's ...

Re: What a relief from my Goof up last Archery Season!!
no need to rip a fellow hunter. you talk about giving the antis ammunition well you attacking another hunter is just as bad. Spurs a good guy and we surely don't need that crap here. Guy was not sure about the shot and still took it.... Not a hunter IMO. Just because you have good land, a deer hunt...

Re: What a relief from my Goof up last Archery Season!!
Wow...... Great hunting ethics there!! Can't wait for the anti's to see that. You: should I try? Buddy: yes! Buddy: did you get him You: I don't know If you have doubts about the shot you don't take it, period, end if discussion, no if's, and's, or buts about it. How long was that shot???? Anyone el...
