Re: turkey eating
Take one breast from a gobbler and wrap it tightly in Saran wrap. Inject the breast thoroughly right through the Saran Wrap with your favorite marinade, mine is the Creole Garlic flavor. Place breast on a plate and set it in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours. Take the meat out of the refrigerator...

Those calling sequences were absolutely perfect! The best I have ever heard that didn't come from something covered in feathers. Congratulations to you, Dave.

Clark,
I know that these results are preliminary and non-conclusive, but they show a great potential for a 20 gauge lead shell. I, and I am sure many others, eagerly await your continued testing.

Re: Stock refinishing
Use a chemical stripper and not sandpaper. The stripper will lift all of the PU off of the wood and you will not lose any of the detail in the carving. There are a number of good alternatives for refinishing such as Polyurethane, Marine Spar varnish, and Tung or boiled Linseed Oil. They come in a va...

Re: Breedlove turkey cushion?
Basically a rubber innertube in a camo bag.... You could make one cheaper..... Years ago, an old turkey callmaker named E.O. Mitchell showed me the inner tube that he used to sit on when setting up on a gobbler. It looked much more comfortable than the wet-seat technique that I did back then. Fast ...

Re: Wingbone Help
You chose correctly to use peroxide, bleach will ruin the bones. The calls that you see online that look pearly white are the effect of the photo, not necessarily the actual color of the bones which is closer to ivory. The paints that you see could be anything (enamel, acrylic, watercolor, inks) as ...

Re: Shooter Shindig 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed myself this weekend with these crazy rascals. When they would get going talking about slitting wads and +/- grains of ??? powder, I would have to just sit back and watch. Great camaraderie, great food, great host/hostess, great places to hunt, great hunts. I had a fantastic time...

I've only seen 1 coral snake in my life, and it was in California. Back in 98 after I graduated High School, I took a trip to Yosemite National Park, and while hiking one day I ran across a rattle snake that was huge, well over 6ft long. I dang near stepped on him before I saw him, never expected t...

I have also gone the Permethrin route and soak my hunting clothes in it a week or two before season. I have NOT HAD ONE TICK on me in three years since I started this treatment.

Re: Craziest thing that spooked a bird
I was hunting on a friend's farm in Arkansas a few years back. I was slipping down a gravel road as quietly as I could and directly, one gobbles on the roost right in front of me. I freeze. Eventually he flies down on the hillside about 80 yards away where he continues gobbling. There is a treetop b...
