All crispi boots are good! I primarily hunt out of a pair of Wyoming’s, but I own a pair of lapponias for flatter ground areas. The summits are really nice as well. I wouldn’t hesitate buying another pair at any time.

Re: 20 Ga. Clear Overshot Cards?????
I ordered some from siarm when I ordered my roll crimping tools from them. I’m not sure what shipping would be on just the osc. I think they charged me $45 for two roll crimping tools along with my osc cards.

Suggestions for a 28ga
Stevens is a good gun. I have a 555 in 410 that I'm setting up now and I'm thinking of adding a 28 also.

Rosebud Indian Reservation, Merriams
I have hunted there once. They are considered merriams by the nwtf, but we only got one that even resembled a merriam. Most were some type of hybrid it appeared. I think they have released easterns and rios on the rosebud. That's what our guide said anyway. Some rough people on the reservation also ...

Custom Made Choke Tube help
William has my 410 barrels now building me two chokes. Not sure when he will be finished but he said for me to give him a little time because he was moving his stuff to his new shop. I've talked to him a couple times on the phone in the last couple of months.

I kinda figured there was a reporting issue. Would be the same way in Alabama I'm afraid.

Re: Louisiana harvest
That is a eye opener for sure! I have never hunted in Louisiana before. How do they collect harvest info? Do the birds have to be checked in? I would have thought those parishes along the ms river would be pretty good hunting.

Going out with wet boots!
Way to stay after them in tough conditions! Seems to be the norm on every trip I go on. We just have to learn to deal with it the best we can. Any day turkey hunting is better than working regaurdless of the conditions.

Official I missed thread... 2015 Edition
Shot a sweet gum tree instead of my gobbler the other morning. Thought I was clear of it but obviously not. Sucks, but it is part of it. At least I did not cripple him. Also my 8 year old son got to shoot at his first yesterday morning and shot over him at 23 steps. It was a great hunt and I wish he...

I have a Rem youth 870 20 gauge with a 21" barrel that I have been thinking about putting a pistol grip stock on for a couple of years but I always talk myself out of it. Since turkey season in out I have been making some upgrades to my gun like putting a FF3 on it and I am now thinking about t...

870 20 gauge Federal Heavyweight ?
I have been looking for a new choke for my 870 20 gauge. From what I have read most people have had good success with truglo ssx and Sumtoy 562-5. I have not tried either of these yet but plan to soon.

I am a big fan of Dad's Monkeywood and Purple Heart. I usually reach for the Monkeywood first though.
