Re: Caldwell Lead Sled concerns?
I have an early model DFT2. Have yet to find a long gun that doesn't fit it well. Looking at the newer version I can see your concern as the front rest wings seem higher and the cavity narrower than mine.

Re: Caldwell Lead Sled concerns?
Have used one now for at least 15 years, maybe more. Highly recommended. I've not noticed any difference in POI going from my sled to my shoulder, but I do not strap anything down on the rest nor do I ever put much effort during aiming on target fighting the rest itself...meaning, I set the rest up ...

Re: Smokeless Muzzleloader???
Spurhntr, What load and bullet are you planning? What are you thinking on a scope? Everyone says these guns/loads are hell on scopes. Current gun has a Leupold VX3 and I am debating wether to try it or go to something considered more sturdy. I got my barrel from Jeff last week and like you am still...

Re: Smokeless Muzzleloader???
Factory pin fits VERY snug and locks up great.
Haven’t decided on a scope just yet but will have her complete shortly for a test run.

Re: WBY 28 GA SA-08 SLING SETUP RECS?
Thanks for replies...think I have it figured out. The place Cerakote/hydrographics'ing it for me is installing a setup like toasty advises for me.
Re: Chokes
As one to be prone to testing multiple chokes per gun to find it's sweet spot I would greatly appreciate it if folks who had this occur PM me the manufacturer's name. My word the info will be kept confidential.
Re: Chokes
Yes. 2 chokes actually.
And I am still awaiting for the situation to be resolved.
Before there is another vote for IC, they don't make 28 gauge chokes.

WBY 28 GA SA-08 SLING SETUP RECS?
Setting up the wby sa-08 28 gauge. Kryptek Mandrake Camo. VX2 1-4x20 once drilled and tapped. Will strictly be a turkey gun. Anyone install their own swivel studs, or come up with a better way to mount a sling? Wby is unaware of a replacement magazine cap with a swivel stud on it. Thanks in advance!

Re: T10s?
I've been using tss for 9 seasons now. I really hesitated to use 8s that first year; just couldn't believe shot that small could be effective... Fond memories! You were one of the first wave from the old NWTF site and GON to give it a go. I think you and Wes are about the only two left around here ...

Spurhntr & Bullethead 2017 Wisconsin
To say this trip was one of our best in the last 12 years of hunting Spring Gobblers together in WI may be an understatement. Arriving at my best buds cabin in WI is always a bit underwhelming, I mean, the view could be better... http://gobblernation.com/photopost/data/500/medium/IMG_0982.jpg We eac...
