Re: 28 ga Tristar
OK, thanks. Good to know. When roll crimping do you need to slightly trim hulls for good cycling out of the viper? I loaded one shell and it was slightly longer than a factory AA shell.( 3/16).

28 ga Tristar
For the guys with 28 ga viper G2s, do you have any issues with cycling of the 1.5oz or 1 5/8 loads? I haven't tried any yet but was wondering if I should stay with 1 3 /8 oz. I read on the refuge forum that tristar gunsmith supposedly said that their subpage guns may not work well with heavy tss loads

20220127_173649.jpg First shot with new youth model Maverick 88. Picked up an Indian Creek .555 at Midway, Have them on sale. Stopped on the way home and fired one shot with the Apex 8.5's. 20 ga 2 3/4 " Rem 1100
Has anybody shot any of the 2 3/4" 1 5/8 or 1 3/8 tss loads thru a 20 ga 2 3/4 " chamber Rem 1100? Wondering if thats to much for the gas system and would the gun take a pounding. I have a 21" youth bbl that I want to thread for chokes but dont want to abuse the gun as it was my Dads.
