I have come to the realization that all turkeys are hybrids just like people imho….I have shot what Im assuming were Rios hybrids in the NW corner of Nebraska. They dont care where they are as long as a hot hen is in front of them.

Re: Slate Call Position—Juggling Shotgun
Put the pot call on the ground right beside you and run it. Its a bit quieter and muffled but the bird is closer so its all good.

Re: What is the hardest and easiest gobbler to kill?
A public land Florida Osceola gobbler is without a doubt the toughest bird to kill.
Many of the toms wont even gobble before flydown or when they fly up at night.

Hats off Dave!! Keep on doing what you do. Great to see the tough days where you have to grind it out,
second guess your decisions and learn from the mistakes made.
On the same page as you cause I never, ever let a little rain or wind be an excuse to sleep in.

Re: Gobblers on the limb
New member so have to put in my 2cents.
Timing is everything and I will wait until 5 min before I think are going to fly down.
Two soft clucks and three soft tree yelps.
Cant ever win a game of euchre if you never call trump!
