3 steps. You may need to request when purchasing. I’ve received a smooth one as well.

It wasn’t working for me a few days ago at all. I assume that’s when the change happened. Working great for me now.

Re: Sausage Making
I hadn’t tried a commercial kielbasa blend but I’ve tried recipes online and they have not produced to my expectations. I finished a smokehouse recently and will be making a good bit of sausage once it cools off a ton. Open to any suggestions you all have. I like using Walton’s and ps seasonings whe...

I've inquired about the fps as a component of penetration of the smaller sizes of TSS. The prevailing standard is @ 1 1/2" penetration in ballistics gel for lethality on a turkeys head/neck. It’s 1050-1080 at estimate. Can and will chrono I just don’t have any time available. River Rats more t...

Re: Tristar G2 Turkey 28ga patterns
Well hell you guys sure know how to burst a guys bubble! These are indeed #9s. I only loaded one to try, must have dipped out of the wrong jar. My 8.5s are only 291 count per ounce. I’ll load up another one later this week and pattern the #8.5s. IMG_1754.jpeg Even with 9s man that’s a heck of a pat...

Re: Tristar G2 Turkey 28ga patterns
My math could be wrong. 8/ 254 & 9/360 254+360= 614 / 2
8.5 = 307/1oz 1.625 x 307 = 499
How’s that math look?

I love mine too. They can be picky to get the best performance out of them but it’s possible.dustyroads wrote: ↑June 28th, 2023, 9:27 pm Very nice setup Batsonbe. I love the 870s, they are my favorite!

I have the exact gun, your patterns are a little better than mine but I'm shooting the choke that Briley made for it. I'm right in line with your numbers on straight 9's but I'm lower on the 8.5x9 duplex. I still hunt with the 8.5x9 and killed two birds with it this year. Love the gun I got away fr...

Remington 870 Express 28ga
I’ve owned this gun for a few years now and have finally started to put something together with it. The jebs and trulock chokes that I have tested have really impressed me! 88-91% 368-10” with 9.5s, 297-10” with 9s, 337-10” 8.5x9

Man that gun patterns awesome! Your gun sure doesn’t care for that magical trulock several people have been raving about as much as the Indian creek.

Re: Remington trigger pull
Is there a way to reduce the pull on a 870 that will not break the bank. Are the springs on the net worth purchasing or should I spend the money for the Timney. I went the timney route in my 870s. Timney turned that gun into a much more enjoyable shooter. I have replaced 2 of my guns springs with t...

C7BE4650-3B45-4676-A075-6E48249254B2.jpeg There seems to be some sort of issue with their guns. A lot of guys complain about something similar. I sent my trigger housing back for a recall and I haven’t had an issue since. I also fold crimp now vs roll crimp then. My gun had no issues extracting the...
