Re: dumb to paint on pot call?

I was told by a custom pot call maker that a quality pot call doesn't have a sweet spot. It will sound the same regardless of where you place the striker. With that thought in mind,I much prefer the "outer" edges as compared to the "center" of the surface. Red arrow if I could. ...

Re: Trumpet Calls / Wingbone Calls.

It's just my opinion, but I think the rivercane call is the easiest to use, the wingbone is next, and the trumpet is the most difficult. The trumpet has the most potential to make a greater range of calls, but it requires a lot more practice. I think the reason is that it moves the most air. I used...

Trumpet Calls / Wingbone Calls.

Been seeing a lot of trumpet calls in use recently. Are they basically the same as far as ease of use to a wingbone. I have a few wingbones that I have made and was wondering if I should add a trumpet to the arsenal.

Got mine today.

Shortest hunt I've ever had. Decided to hunt mid day. Got to the blind with my wife about 12:30. Put SD cards in the cameras. Got in and set down and did a quick yelp and purr on the pot call. Put the call away, grabbed a water and a bagel. Took a couple bites , looked up and here he comes. Quiet. N...

Give your wife a high 5 from me
I think we get caught up in chasing numbers and assume the heavier 1 5/8 oz. loads just have to be better. The Hot Rod at 1 3/3 dispels that myth.

Jakes Just Wanna Die.

Let me say this so I don't offend anyone first. If you shoot a Jake,I'm happy for you. Your tag, your brag. I've shot a few myself. However i have made a personal decision not to shoot them anymore. BUT,stuff happens. Last year, big booming gobbles that shook the trees. Here he comes just a hammering ...

Please Be Careful Out There.

Just read a post on FB Michigan Hunting Nation. Young man shot in the face while walking toward 3 other hunters. 60 yards. How ? Why? Makes my skin crawl. Then they started to walk off without rendering aid. What a bunch of douche bags. Be safe please fellas.

New Video Camera

Decided to upgrade from the Solo WiFi mounted on the barrel. Bought the Tactam Solo Extreme and a wide angle lens for it. Waiting for the remote to arrive now. This set up will let me set the cam up to 100 feet from the remote. Bought a tripod and did a little tinkering to mount the cam. I will be u...
