Re: Rossi tuffy.410 ejection issue

I had the same problem. Eventually Rossi replaced my Tuffy but it was a long drawn out process. The problem is an oversize chamber that allows the brass to expand into the space behind the ejector, effectively locking the hull n the chamber. If you decide to send your gun back to Rossi, let me know ...

Re: BENELLI STEADY GRIP STOCK WORK

[img] I did pretty much the same, but I used an epoxy putty. It's a 2 part epoxy that has 1part in the middle of the tube and the other part on the outside of the tube. To use you cut off a section and knead it together, then fill the void.

Yep, mine was driving me crazy! Made a button and sewed it to the vest. Sewed a loop on the seat. Strong velcro would work, buckles would too.

Re: DIY gun painting

I've painted several guns and various other things. Rust-oleum camo paints have worked well for me, but I don't worry much about durability. The patterns I use are easily touched up. There are probably more durable paints available, but I think all will show wear with heavy use. Synthetics stocks ar...

"I don't think there is any doubt we have population decline in some areas. The guys doing research are under pressure to figure out why. I'm afraid that hunting is going to be blamed for it, and I'm afraid that it's happening without real evidence. "Save the habitat, save the hunt", ...

Lots of stuff here, including gobbling activity on a hunted area and average date of nest initiation. The most relevant info to what is being discussed in this thread is in fig. 4-2, page 18. It may make your head hurt! :dontknow: https://georgiawildlife.com/sites/default/files/wrd/pdf/management/Ge...

Re: South Carolina DNR recommendations for changes to turkey season

The decline in wild turkey populations has been well documented and South Carolina as well as other Southeastern states have initiated research trying to determine causes of the decline. Hopefully all the data from all the states will be consolidated and published in one paper. Habitat is obviously ...

I just love those real SOBs. You know, the ones you find all by themselves and won’t give you the time of day, the ones who stay in the tree until 9:00, the ones who fly closer to inspect you from a different tree, the ones who almost seem to record each call you make and replay it 10 times before ...

There's a new camo Benelli Steadygrip stock listed on eBay for $50. It's listed as a Benelli Steadgrip. Thought somebody on here might be interested in buying it.

Try putting them in the freezer till you're ready to cut them. No smell and it helps keep the spur color from changing.

Re: Can You?

I don't keep a journal or any type of records, sure wish I had. I told a young friend of mine to keep records and he has an album with pictures and notes on location, including temperature and weather conditions and a number for each turkey he kills. He writes the number on the spurs, beard, and fan...
