As for me, I find knowing the terrain very helpful... I try to setup so that when the turkey comes into view he is in range.... preseason scouting is most helpful..... as a new hunter, learn to do a yelp, cluck and purr.... be patient.... pattern your gun.... turkeys are much easier to call uphill r...

I would concur that I enjoy carrying the Kimber Montana rifles but would rather be shooting a Tikka at a game animal. That sums up my lengthy experience with both rifles in various calibers. The Tikka T3 Super Lite models are a pleasure to carry all day. Put a Limbsaver pad on them and it really tam...
