Re: FrogLube Issues **UPDATED**
Froglube is just plain bad news. Hate to "dis" a product but it does gum up in storage and will actually discolor some metal treatments. Ive tried a bunch of lubes over the years from FP-10 (froze up on me in cold weather and cost me a really nice buck) to straight mobil 1 engine oil. Las...

Re: FrogLube Issues
I had similar experience with Fireclean years ago. Now I use TW25B, by the recommendation of a member of the special forces community. So far so good. Its a grease, but it stays put and lasts. I use it on everything from bolt actions to AK's. A little bit goes a LOOOOONG way.

Re: I am wanting a semi-auto 20...
What would a new Remington 1187 compact with 21” barrel, shurshot stock, drilled/tapped with a Nikon spur. Undertaker choke set up to shoot TSS be worth to you? Only shots fired were to get sighted in. Really not sure. I kind of started going down the path of the weatherby as far as cost research. ...

Re: I am wanting a semi-auto 20...
Get an SA08 Youth model, then order defense shotgun pistol grip straight from Weatherby. I own three weatherby and one Remington. Would much rather have the weatherby. thats a very good option, plus it allows me to have it coated dipped to my liking... Do you have to call weatherby for that stock? ...

Re: I am wanting a semi-auto 20...
I put a pistol grip on my SBEII, and promptly put the shurshot on my 870 20ga. Yeah, the semi auto 20's are a little heavier than the 870 20, but not as heavy as my 12ga. I did try to see if mossberg had a pistol grip stock for the SA20, but i could not see where to buy one. They have them on the ta...

I am wanting a semi-auto 20...
My requirements are that it needs to have or be able to have a pistol grip stock, and that the barrel is 24" or less. Now...I know the 1187 compact and the SA459 fit the bill. Trouble is, I cant find one. So...with those that have a weatherby is it preferable to the remington. I see a lot of mi...

Re: Funky Chicken Decoy?!?!?!
ive had one work for me. Birds at my lease are extremely decoy shy....but the small funky chicken did the trick. Plus it fits in an avian x bag with your hen of choice for easy carry.

Re: Need some help trouble shooting my 870 20ga youth.
Action bars are riding where they are supposed to. Yeah, its a pain to get them both depressed. Could not figure out what was suddenly causing the carrier to protrude, but it is not contacting as bad now. Probably just wearing down the lip of the forearm. I am going to sand down the forearm just a l...

Re: Need some help trouble shooting my 870 20ga youth.
This is what I thought originally as well. I have compared it to my 870 12ga. The carrier functions as it should. I will take it a part and look at it again this evening, though I am certain I have it assembled correctly. I have reassembled it several times now, and watched several different videos ...

I agree, and yes, you can see where the carrier is contacting the forearm. I guess after enough of slight contact, it bent and is getting worse.

Re: Need some help trouble shooting my 870 20ga youth.
I don't think so. I don't remember doing anything to the carrier that could result in it getting bent. I will look and see this evening, but I suspect it is not bent.

Re: Need some help trouble shooting my 870 20ga youth.
It sounds to me like you didn't put it back together the same way it came apart. The trigger group shouldn't really matter as long as it's together properly itself. agreed. After studying, I cannot eye what is incorrect. I was hoping someone may have had same experience and can help me identify my ...

Need some help trouble shooting my 870 20ga youth.
I have a youth model 870. For this season I decided put a Remington Shurshot stock on it, and install a timney trigger fix. The trigger on that gun had a mile's worth of creep in it. So, i follow the instructions and watch videos. Get the trigger fix installed. Well, now the carrier is occasionally ...

Re: Finally finished my Custom LR Rifle
Very Nice! I'm a big fan of custom 700's. Ive been wanting to do a custom lightweight rig. I have two heavy rigs, but not as purty at that one.
