Re: Choke tube recommendation for 12 ga oddball barrel threads?
Maybe step up your payload for better pattern. 1 1/8oz seems light for 12 ga. New shells easier than finding new choke. Just a thought

Re: First turkey fan mount beard and spurs on plaque.
I've done the skull before and I just let it rot under a bucket for about a week. Maggots get most of the stuff. Then rot the rest in a bucket of water for a month or so until the rest turns loose. Then soak in peroxide for a few days to bleach it. Superglue the little bones back together. Beetles a...

USPS won't allow ammo shipment if you tell them that's what it is. You'll need to ship UPS

Splitting hairs. Just go hunt. Weather changes, barrel cleanliness between shots, etc could affect it as much as you're looking for

Re: sex organs
From answers.com because I didn't know either Male turkey's or Toms do not actually have a penis like mammals. They have an internal organ within the cloaca. Copulation involves a 'cloacal kiss', with the male on the female's back & twisting his tail under the female's tail and a meeting of the ...

Pretty sure the speed bead won't work on 20 ga. That's what I've read anyway. Mine is drilled

Re: Drill and Tap 870
William at Sumtoy did a fantastic job on mine. I removed barrel and stock, mailed him the receiver, he installed his mount and shipped back to me for a very reasonable amount of time and money. Highly recommended https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180228/61a0627e5f25ca6350c943573fef2274.jpg https://...

Supposedly 5,000 hours is the life. Not sure what the drain (if any) is for sitting during the off season. But they should last for several seasons. A lot of folks change them every year regardless just for piece of mind

Re: Indian Creek - M2 20g help
Mine is the same way, I think they do this so it is sure to seat up down inside the barrel where it is most important. This is correct. You know the threads are bottoming out inside the barrel and that's good. If it fits snug on the outside with no gap, there's a chance it's not bottomed out inside...

Re: SumToy 562-5 w/ T9s
That's my setup out of an 870 youth 21" barrel. I was getting 353/162 in the 10"/20" which was too tight for my liking. Instead of getting a new choke, I loaded one with 6 slits in the wad instead of 4. That took it to 281/212 which was exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps
