For those that have experience with the shorter 870's....have you done pattern tests at 40+ yards with the standard chock that comes with them vs other chokes...or longer barreled 870's? It would be interesting to know if there actually was much difference. Thanks to those that have offered advice!...

I see Federal tss shooting good in a few sizes. Try it and see. But to get a shamwow pattern you’ll need a tight choke.

Agreed. Have shot neither since I handload, but from everything I have read, Apex should do better with that choke. Most folks report they need to choke the crap out of the Feds to get accept acceptable patterns due to that infernal FCW. I also have heard that Federals tss is soft and pliable. Smas...
