Re: Apex vs Federal TSS

I would think Apex. Hand load over factory. If you think your gonna want to load your own.. get with Shooter aka Tommy Duliba for all your needs.

Re: Help Please - Stevens 555 needs trigger job

Sorry to hear. That’s a big spread between them. Hopefully someone on here can point you in the right direction If no one here can, I would find your closest sporting clays range and go there and ask for help. Lots of fellers who do that will either work on their own or know a good guy to help you.

Re: Franchi Affinity 3 or SBE2????

I have a Franchi Affinity just not the "3" I'm a Benelli fan but just can't justify the price difference. Keep in mind that semi auto's limit you on loads that can be shot (meaning shell length vs feed problems/ejection problems). Personally I'd buy a pump or double. I would say in the M2 20ga that...

Re: Golden Truth Outdoors "Get Outta Here" Turkey Hunt

I don't think I would've waited that long on a turkey I shot with a bow. All that flipping and flopping is crazy!

Killed a few with my Athens Archery bows, but rather shoot them in the head with my shotguns.

Re: Franchi Affinity 3 or SBE2????

I have owned several SBE’s over the years. Really love them

But I wouldn’t pay top price for any gun. I have always found them cheaper. If you can buy one used go for it. If you want to save money go for the Franchi.

Had a great season here in Va . What really made it special was watching my Grandson kill his first gobbler on Youth day & then watching him kill a gobbler the first week of our season. Both birds were over 21 Lbs. It was EPIC !
Hard to top that!

Nice. I like me some hot pork rinds. In fact, I’m heading to Porkies tomorrow to pick some up for my fishing trip.
They are tasty little buggers!!
If you have me a bag of Sweet Heat and told me to help you rob a bank.. I might do it.

Re: Friends..

You can keep pork rinds but intrigued by cocktail sauce. When I go out and order shrimp, if they don't have extra horseradish I change my order. I buy one brand, St Elmo's, it will clear your sinuses immediately. Don't know what type of breed they use but it's hot I cannot find anything that compar...

Re: How long can you keep unfired handloads?

I have used loads from Tommy Duliba’s 90/93 recipe that I loaded 3 years ago with no problems. I also had a shell that was older go through the washing machine and cut it down and only noticed a discoloration in the 93 gas seal from the lilgun. But no pitting or plastic breaking down from it. I woul...

Re: TSS and coyote loads... Advice please.

From what I've read and heard from others, #3 is likely the best for the combination of pattern and penetration. I had 1-5/8 oz loads of #3 in the truck ready to roll but I didn't have the 20 gauge iron to go with it today. IC and Close Range tubes in the Red Label wouldn't have been my first or se...

Re: Remington® Model 870 SPS Super Mag Turkey vs Turkey/Predator

I have owned a short barrel 870. 21” and with the IndianCreek and Hevi13 #6’s and magblends it patterned to 50. I never patterned past that far but no doubt it would kill further. I would still be hunting with it but it was stolen. Shurshot stocks and it was very well balanced. The supermags I owned...

Re: 20 gauge tss pattern numbers?

True and "it looks to be 50yds" or "50 paces" at the range usually isn't. That goes for 40yds too . It is tough not to post a pic of the best pattern but 3 or 5 shot averages tell more about what a choke and load is really doing. Consistency is the key. yep I have found tho that TSS actually shoots...

And, of course, I missed one on the last day. With my new super, duper TSS loads of all things. But the gun and load can only do so much - the man behind the gun has to do his job, and I didn’t. That gun and load had 70 and 50 yard kills this year, then I missed at 30.
