Yup. Smoking them is the best route to go. They are extremely oily.
Gonna cook some filets this afternoon. Gotta buy some lemons and cut them thin to lay on the sheet for the fish to grill on top of. Darren Dye’s wife told me to do it that way. Filets won’t stick to the pan

THIS is a magnum sized Walking Stick. It dropped down from a tree in Raja Ampat off Papua New Guinea when I was doing a surface interval on a dive trip there a few years ago. They get bigger than this one, if you can believe it.

Re: Choke recommendations

I have used the FedHW7’s in my 20ga using ported IndianCreek chokes. I know several who also have with 12ga. I don’t think I would be scared a bit to try a IC waterfowl choke and the HW

A patternmaster choke is tough as nails. I wouldn’t be sacred to try using that either

Re: Lake Trout!

Measure it, weigh it and have a fiberglass model made to the specs. You can have your fish mounted and eat it, too. Gil P.S. Years ago I caught a 51 lb. sailfish off the Georgia coast fishing with a late buddy. I took the fish to the taxidermist's local representative. The company was a well known ...

That is the right answer!

I don't think I could take that Win 21 turkey hunting no matter how much money I had.
