Re: Birthday Present

In college I had a golf tournament at the UM course right across the street from the stadium, after one round we got a tour of the big house. Prepare yourself because it is gigantic. Very cool place even if I’m a golden domer fan boy.

As long as you can take away something you've learned from the days hunt it's a productive day. There are no absolutes the promise of a new day always keeps me coming back for more.

Re: Are turkeys going the way of the quail

I'll say Indianas population has exploded and 10 yrs ago if you saw one while driving you'd stop and marvel at it. Now you see them all over. Being from the Hoosier state my knowledge is limited but I can't imagine a state like South Carolina or Georgia would let their populations go to hell as the ...

Re: Affinity Compact

I'd try an undertaker .582 Or a primos tightwad .570 My Affinity shoots both of those chokes pretty good. It all depends on what tss load you are shooting. Funny enough I ordered those two on Monday to try out I got em both for dirt cheap. The trulock .585 is pretty inconsistent but occasionally wi...

Re: How many of us hunt gobblers the wrong way?

I fanned one last year but I had chased this sob for a week straight he wouldn't break from his hens. I thought I'd give it a whirl one evening after work, he was out in the field again with a hen jake yelped a couple of times his head spun and he came a running but he hit the breaks hard about 50 b...

Re: Affinity Compact

After going through the great internal struggle of which 20 to buy and going through loads of topics on here. I finally settled on the Franchi Affinity 3 20 ga. Compact. I had originally contemplated just an 870 Compact but after holding an Affinity I had to have it. The Affinity 3 does come D&T fr...

If things go well and the landowner agrees it'll take all of 1 min. It's right in front of my neighborhood entrance. My other spots are less than 5 miles away.

Re: Over Choking Tungsten Causing Barrel Damage?

Sloppy, Do you have a good explination as to why the resin works so well for Winchester? Does it keep the lead pellets from deforming? Or does it actually hold the shot column together long enough to make a difference? Seems like it would just shatter, turning into buffer, as soon as it passes thro...

Too bad they used that flight control wad. Doesn't make sense why they would use it for this application but whatever I won't be shooting them.

Re: Remington declaring bankruptcy?

There's a reason they call private equity groups "corporate raiders" because they come in and acquire a company pile on the debt take the profits then when the debt load finally breaks the company's back file for bankruptcy and sell of the product lines at a premium. Fortunately it's Remington and t...

Re: Browning Gold NWTF 12ga

I ordered a .675 IC for my sx3 and looking to see what that does for the 10-20". I really like the distribution of yours. Thanks, I think it will be a good hunting pattern not for numbers though! It'll be more than good you basically have a 10" horizontal margin left or right of your aim point. Can...

Great job congrats. Wish my dad taught me about turkey hunting. The closest I got to turkey hunting as a kid was strolling down the frozen food aisle at the grocery store.
