Been wanting a 28 for squirrel hunting. Not certain I’d use it much but I’m curious as to how well those things shoot in terms of POA/POI.

Re: Days 2 & 3 of the 2017 Ohio Squirrel Season
I've done very little still hunting the past 7 years for squirrels. Much prefer to use the dog but always enjoy hearing of others success. Only dog I have now is older so I may resort to some still hunting this fall. Good luck on your future endeavors.

Re: Calling when he's on the limb.
I'm guilty of over calling a bird on the limb. It seems to keep them up there longer than I'd like and when you're pressed for morning hunt time, that's not a good thing. Usually takes me two weeks to calm down and let them come down before I stop calling to them like a mad man. Honest opinion, I'd ...

Re: Tikka T3 Light?
So how do you like your Meopta? Just sold the older Swaro Habicht Nova 3-9x36 I had on the 7mm-08 to get a newer model scope with a larger objective lens for a little better low light capability. I'm leaning toward a Swaro Z3 3-10x42, but am also looking at a Meopta 3.5-10x44. I've heard awfully go...

Re: Federal 3rd Degree
My buddy's son uses them and loves them. Get a great pattern all the way to 40 yards with them. He on the other hand did not. Guess like everything else, it's going to depend on the gun and choke combo.

Re: Few audio clips from this weekend at daylight
Thanks for sharing the files man. If that doesn't get someone excited, nothing will. That's my favorite part of the hunt most days. Maybe because there's been lots of days that that's the closest I've gotten to a bird but stil, it's pretty cool listening to the Owls and turkeys in the morning.

835 and TSS
Well, I'm at a bit of a crossroad. I'd bought a sumtoy choke a while back thinking I'd never use anything other than hevi shot and then later switched to the Winchester LB's. Didn't matter. Gun shot fine with both. Now, I'm going to be loading TSS and have zero desire to shoot 3-4 loads outta this c...

Re: Tube Call?
I've got one of lumberjacks tubes that he made as mentioned above. It's a great tune and he puts some heart into the product. I'm getting at least one more tube if not a couple from him this weekend as well as a trumpet he made. Never used a trumpet but he made it sound good on the phone. Pumped up.

Re: Gobbler Callers
I've used an HS gobble tube for years. It's made several tight lipped birds open up over the years. It's also made some birds shut down. I've found the gobble to be a bit of a give and take. Got a tube call last year and really enjoy using it. This is an actual tube call, not the gobble tube. It was...

Re: Find this shed hunting today
No shortage here in Illinois, too. I have more photos of them on my trail cams than my hitlist bucks. They are damn smart and difficult to call in so I finally received my trapping cert and will start running a line this year. I'm anxious to see how I'll do so if anyone has tips on footholds for yo...

Re: Custom Made Choke Tube help
That's quite odd for sumtoy to not call back. Could be super slammed right now with everyone rushing to get guns tuned for the upcoming season. Doesn't explain 8 months with no contact though.
