Re: Franchi 48AL 28 ga
Mine didn’t impress me with the factory full. I have a Carlson’s XF that I really like. I’m in the process of getting a Sumtoy.

Re: Flyers away from pattern center
At 40 yards you could easily have a flier 5' - 6' from the center of your pattern.
Several variables would dictate your maximum spread.

28 gauge with Carlson's .526 choke pattern.
http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/lawyerspann/IMG_2583_zpsjngyrp5w.jpg I wasn't completely satisfied with the factory full and TSS 9's (162 pellets in 10" @ 40 yards), so I ordered a Carlson's extended XF .560 choke. I'm pleased with the pattern AND the POI/POA are dead on using the fac...

Re: Franchi AL-48 28ga
Hope to acquire one of these tomorrow. Been wanting one for a while. All the info I have gathered on these suggest they are great guns. Sad thing is it may be just to nice to turkey hunt with. Just got one of these myself. My reloading supplies should be here tomorrow so hopefully next week I'll se...

http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/lawyerspann/IMG_2456_zpsdtt8g3mj.jpg First I taped the mount exactly where I wanted it on my gun and I drilled the back hole. I then tapped the hole with a #6 fine thread tap. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/lawyerspann/IMG_2458_zpssndtzqym.jpg 2nd ...

I'm blaming this on TSS....
I started loading and shooting TSS last year for 20 gauge (my 870, my Affinity and better-half's M2) and I was quite pleased to say the least. Being the type that is hardly ever completely satisfied as well as always needing a new challenge or project, I broke down and bought a new Franchi 48AL Delu...

Yes I was referring to their ported version. I ordered a .560 from them which is non-ported.870 Shooter wrote:I assume you're talking about ported? If so, that's fine. Mine shoots very well.

Indian Creek .555
I'm considering an IC .555 for my 870 21" barrel. Do I get the one with all of the slits cut in it or do they make a different version?
Thanks,
Lonster
