Re: Ceramic Surface
I have a Hank’s ceramic pot call and it came with a piece of 40 grit sand paper. Have to go easy. Once you condition it it tends to last a good while. Lightly touch up your striker with scotch bright.

Re: Sbe3 or m2
I would get the m2 20 gauge. To me, it just feels/balances better than any other shotgun. I have a m2 12 gauge and I will be adding a 20 in the near future.

Re: Latest Pinhoti
I think Dave handled it better than I would have. I would NEVER pull beside another truck. If the other guy beat me to the spot, no problem. I move on to the next spot. Boils down to safety and common courtesy for me. I had a discussion with a person one time and he said that he had just as much rig...

Re: Limbsaver pad for steady grip
I bought the limbsaver ls-10404 for my steadygrip. I have a m2 and I’m not sure if the sbe 3 steady grip is different. I hear ya when you say the recoil pad is like a rock.

Best pattern that I have seen out of a 410! That’s a awesome dip job also. I’ve heard that Tad does excellent work.

Re: Stevens 301 turkey 410
I ordered one from Kentucky Gun Co on Wednesday. I need to figure out which red dot to put on it and hopefully find ammo that will shoot well out of the factory choke. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: M2 Trigger Upgrade
I had my m2 trigger worked by Rob Roberts (Gobbler Guns) a few years ago. He charged $100 for the trigger job. It helped lighten the trigger pull and didn't do a lot for the creep. I was told that there isn't a lot that can be done for the creep in Benelli shotguns. Taran tactical sells a reduced ha...

Re: Trumpet suggestions
I had Austy Bott make one for me about 3 years ago. My first one. I asked him a million questions about trumpets and he worked with me. He built one out of cocobolo and has a delrin mouthpiece. It took some practice for me but I eventually got it. Your learning curve will be a lot less since you are...

Re: 11-87 reliability
I have a older 12 gauge 11-87 special purpose turkey model that I bought in '93 or so. Great gun. No problem whatsoever. Built like a tank and heavy. Definitely tames the recoil. As The Baron said, be sure to check the action spring in the stock. I got lucky and caught mine before the action spring ...

All jokes aside(lol), I use Thera-band latex. It is used in the physical therapy field. Got mine on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0027AMZ ... and+yellow

I got mine a few weeks ago also.
They messed a order up a couple of years ago and they made it right. Great customer service means a lot to me.
Will continue using them.

Private land 75% and public land 25%.
Public usually the first week then all private.

I'm leaning toward the affinity. I'm sure any of these shotguns will do all I need.

I have the Harrison hoot stick. It is a great owl hooter. A good friend of mine has both the Houndstooth and Harrison hoot stick and he likes the Houndstooth a little better. You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion. Hobbes is right about air volume and making a good sound chamber. Check out...

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I believe the Benelli M2 was the sweetest of them all BUT my wife would divorce me ( I have one in a 12 ga). No matter which one I go with, it will be a dedicated turkey gun.

Franchi affinity vs sa-08 vs Stoeger 3020 which one?
I am in the market for a new 20 gauge. I looked at all three of them at sportsman warehouse on Friday. All 3 felt great but I don't know anyone who has any experiences good or bad with these guns. Basically, I want a lightweight autoloader that won't break the bank. I will be shooting tss. Any sugge...

Re: Yeti
In my opinion it all depends on how frequent and how long you will use the cooler. I have a cheap Coleman that I use less than 10 times a year. I usually use it a day or two at a time. I really can't justify using a cooler longer than 2-3 days at a time. I work with a striper guide who is on Smith M...
