Re: Electronic turkey calling

Knowing which call to use, where to call from are more important than making the sound. Most using electronics probably don’t know this.

Re: New Hunter New Property

I've been collecting trail cam pics the last couple weeks and have lots of good turkey activity where the map is marked with red dots. Multiple hens, jakes, and toms. I'm thinking of setting g up on the yellow dot - which is along a drainage with a fair amount of water now. Anyone agree or disagree...

Re: Portable Spur Measure tape for OG contest

I like the beard measure where the end of the tape is buried in the feathers where you cannot see it.

Not sure how you can have a contest, every turkey I have ever heard about had a 10 inch beard and one inch spurs.

Nice shot. I would prefer no music especially not the high drama mood music

Re: high left patterns

Bennelli guns not hitting to point of aim is more normal than abnormal from what I hear. You have also discovered the hard way why patterning is important. I would go with a simple sight that attaches to the vent rib like Williams firesights.

Great job, and nice finished product. I am about to try this load. Are you trimming your hulls before you crimp or using felt?

Re: Mark Twain national forest

I have had my best luck about 1 mile past the old gas station at the pull off just past the bend in the road. I usually walk in about a mile and listen from the big ridge next to the drop off.
