Re: Dick's stock drops

They had a good thing going before they branched out into Field and Stream. Before F/S Dicks had some of the best prices and now that they are trying to transfer Dick's hunting/fishing merchandise to F/S. The 10% stock drop was due to the transferring of outdoor gear to F/S, but they can claim a los...

There are also small, Osceola-looking turkeys in the swamps of SC. In fact, they look more like Osceolas than many that come from below the "money line".
I believe I heard of Lovett and the FWC transferring birds to SC. back in the 70s.

I would buy an over priced judge and shoot one in the face at 5 yards, Once! Robo-Turkey decoy with an arrow mounted on it as a jousting pole!

Red Dot for Astigmatism

I have an eye disease called Keratoconus which is like a Astigmatism on steroids. I've gone to scopes on all my turkey guns. I've been using a center point scope and it has been doing a great job, but it is pretty heavy and alittle big. I've checked out maybe a hundred different scopes/red dots / ho...

Re: Gas or Inertia?

I just got an Inertia Driven Franchi Affinity compact and cannot believe how much it kicks compared to any of my other shotguns. Highly NOT recommended for a kid! It will have a Limbsaver recoil pad on it very shorty. I'm sure the extremely light weight has something to do with it.. " GAS "

Re: Calling In Spring Gobblers Before Opening Date On Land With No Hunting.

I mainly just listen in the spring and move on to the next spot. I have taken kids out early to get them acclimated to a bird coming in, but I try to stay on property that no one can hunt.

TSS Flush mount choke tube

Here we go again, Sorry! New Franchi Affinity 20gauge 24" barrel.. I was wondering some opinions about using a flush mounted .565 -.575 Carlson etc. choke tube.. Not looking for 5000 in a 10" at 40yards! 165 - 200 in a 10" at 40yard would be plenty to cover an Oh Zhit shot ( 1 5/8 ounce # 9 ) I don'...

Alabama - Mississippi back in the mid 80's!!!! Interesting you say that. I don’t know a thing about MS, but that was the heyday of turkeys in the southern half of AL. I miss them days. I’ll pick the mtns of northern GA just for the terrain. I hate steep hills... The reason it was so tough was due t...
