Re: Which Lounger Vest

Yes, I got one in last week. It's ok, but definitely could use some improvements. I'm probably going to make a review video on it being there's nothing decent out there yet. I'll post a link if/when I do. I have no experience with a lounger vest. How do you like the stadium seat function on the imp...

Re: Axcil Xcor reviews?

I recently got a pair. While I haven't used them much hunting, they've been quite good for target shooting. Sound compression is excellent. They are comfortable for me as well. Although the Bluetooth functions fine, it's not on par with Apple EarPods. Plus, if you move too far away from the connect...

Axcil Xcor reviews?

Hey guys I'm looking for hearing protection for this turkey season.
Has anyone used Axcil Xcor during a turkey hunt?
Pro's/Con's?

I have good hearing and would like to protect it from shotgun blast.

Re: New Turkey Gun Sight- which do you prefer?????

I only have experience with the Vortex Venom 3MOA and it has performed great, no problems. Once reason I went with the Venom is Vortex's lifetime warranty and they have great customer service. The battery cap is on top which I like but can be a pain to take on/off. I bought the EGW 670 base and real...

Re: What guns are you looking to buy?

Probably my next turkey gun will be a pistol grip 20. I have too many turkey guns (410, 20, 28, and 12ga) and have struggled in the past with choosing one dedicated during season. This year I bought a Franchi Affinity 3 12ga 3" 26" barrel. Added a Vortex Venom and hunted with it all season...

Re: Question for TSS shooters/hunters

Killed 3 gobblers this year all with 2oz #9 handload 12ga 2-3/4" Franchi Affinity 3. 1st gobbler 40 2nd gobbler 52 RFV 3rd gobbler 77 estimated in woods. My longest kill by far. The gobbler was dead at the shot. I don't normally take really long shots, but this season was different. I know my e...

Re: Crispi Boots

I don't have either pair you're asking about but I do have 2 seasons with Crispi Lapponia (1st Gen). Worn them in KY, TN, and Iowa. So far they've been great. Fit like a glove and keep my feet dry. I do pair them with Kenetrek gaiters. I've walked thru tall wet grass and my feet stay dry. I also wea...

Re: How Much Permethrin To Use?

Last year I switched from using Sawyers for years to Martin's 10% Permethrin. Mix 1oz Martin's with 19oz water to make 0.5%. Buying 10% concentrated and mixing your own is so much cheaper than buying 0.5% at the store. I've been using cheap spray bottles from Walmart or the dollar store you're throw...

Re: Run and Gun vest feedback

Tried on the Sitka vest at a local sporting goods store. Initial thought was quality and well-built, but it felt like I was wearing a life jacket. It's snug and compact by design but would take some getting used to. Don't think I'd like it during early season but maybe for late season warm weather r...

Run and Gun vest feedback

Looking at Knight and Hale RNG 200 and Sitka Equinox turkey vests. They have a similar design with the backpack style instead of traditional large game bag. Anybody have hunting experiences with either of these vests? Main question is how comfortable are they when sitting up on a turkey and you're l...

Re: Vests

My favorite vest is my current Grounded I bought last year. It's a good vest overall. Past vests have been Super Elite NWTF type that were hot and heavy. I tend to carry too much stuff and thinking about going with a more run and gun type vest. The Sitka equinox looks appealing, but the verdict is s...

Good looking Tacoma Brice.
I still drive my 1998 Tacoma 4x4 extended cab, 6cyl, 5-speed. 230K and going strong. No frame rust.
Tacoma's are getting harder to find especially with no rust issues.

Re: So I’m in Kansas

Hey Brice, yeah those Kansas roads can get bad quick. I hunted north central Kansas last week first time ever. We were on the Kansas/Nebraska border. Got on 1 Rio long beard and 2 hens on private land no luck. Bird would gobble but wouldn't work and we never got close enough for a shot. We did lay e...

Re: most comfortable warm weather rubber boots

Lacrosse Grange are comfortable for warm weather and get the job done. They used to be made in the USA but changed to overseas a few years ago. You can tell the difference. The "new" ones don't last as long but they still work.

Re: Waterproof boots?

I’m looking for a boot that will actually keep my feet dry. This season I wore Irish Setter Vaprtreks, they were soaked thru just from high, wet grass. And crossing creeks, forget about it. Looking for something lightweight, comfortable and WATERPROOF. What do you guys like? Crispi boots or anythin...
