These Remington loads have proven themselves in about a half dozen 10 gauges for me. I loved the older ones in the olive drab hull will matte black base.
After Kent cartridge bought out Activ their company has really taken off, I've shot a lot of Kent shells and they are as good as they get, sale with free shipping going on right now on their shells,,,google it up Do they have a shell that will compete with the old Activ 3" 2 1/4 oz. 12 ga. she...
I think we are hunting smarter turkeys than 20+ years ago. 20 years ago we killed several birds with 1 1/4-1 1/2" spurs, now they aren't s common but still killing birds. Some of the areas I hunt have more birds than 20 years ago but far less gobbling. These older birds are breeding smarter bir...
I have a Franchi Affinity just not the "3" I'm a Benelli fan but just can't justify the price difference. Keep in mind that semi auto's limit you on loads that can be shot (meaning shell length vs feed problems/ejection problems). Personally I'd buy a pump or double. Haven't seen this wit...

Of the 2 I prefer the Franchi. All operating parts are in the forearm of the Franchi vs. the recoil spring being in the buttstock of the Benelli where if you hunt in the rain or the gun takes a dunk you need to remove the buttpad and stock to dry everything out.
It all depends on what numbers you want. I can put over 300 in the 10"/40 with a .555 but the rest to 20" are splotchy and sparce. A .570 will give me 260ish+ in the 10"/40 but the 20" numbers are well dispersed and the 10"/20" pattern is a much more even pattern. I ki...
Anybody making a saddle mount for an SX3 20 gauge? Interested in mounting an optic on my new turkey gun. Have you though about just having it drilled and tapped? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I had thought about that but I am wanting to use this gun for doves as well and not sure how much the ...
BTDT. Shot a tom one day at 45 yard with my 10 gauge and an HV load of Winchester #5s and a Comp-N-Choke. Bird fell in a heap at the shot without so much as a wiggle. He had a couple of jakes with him when I shot and they ran off a little bit but I called them back and watched them flog him a dab. A...
