Re: Going in Blind
I would go with A and B. There have been times when I haven't done my homework and I sneak in where I have been around turkeys in the past. Usually the areas I know where birds roost are pretty long hikes and/or sometimes I combat a lot of water. That being said, I usually can get to one central loc...

I carry a cushion with me all the time but I catch myself in certain circumstances no using one. It really depends on the situation.

30-45 min tops. I have caught myself waiting longer if I know there is good sign i.e. tracts, droppings, frequent sightings. Sometimes a good nap is in the mix with a good cool morning.

Re: What to do
I'd go after bird two if he's hot.....bird two could also be bird one that has been seperated from his hen's and roosting in a different area. If bird two dies, than bird one would get hunted the next morning. I like hunting a target bird, but I don't name them are waste to much time on them, espec...

I would go after bird #2. If I ended up striking out and could not get the bird to work, I would try and position myself in the area I knew bird #1 was headed.

anyone ever use any calls made by houndstooth, met a guy while I was hunting in Alabama that used them. sounded pretty good. I carry mostly woodhaven and cody in my vest, but I liked what I heard. just checking to see if their was anybody using these calls and what they thought about them. woodsman...

I agree. I have the tendency to try and get real close and end up bumping them. I also used to call a little too much. I have kicked that habit now.WV Ridge Reaper wrote:For me it's trying to get to close..I'm slowly but surely starting to kick that habit.

Re: Vortex razor
The Razor is the top of the line for sure. They are coming out with a sight at the FF lll price point. I believe it is called the Venom. This sight will retail for $329 according to their website. Vortex makes a superb product. I would not expect anything less from them in the red dot category.

That is a good looking pattern. That choke/shell combo is deadly and will make for one dead bird.

Re: Indian Creek 555 and Beneli M2 - 20g
Good numbers. Have you tried the Fed. HW 7s? It's not recommended to use the Indian Creek with HW shells because of the flight control wad. I have shot a few through that choke before to see how it patterned and it was very inconsistent and less than desirable. You can get a non ported version from...
