Glad to see the researcher has backed off on pushing the DGT (Dominant Gobbler Theory).

Florida FWC Proposes Step to Curtail/Capitalize on Non-Resident WMA Hunters
One thing Florida FWC does that I really like is sends out e-mails/surveys where you can comment on proposed changes. I'm going through them now here is one of the items proposed: https://i.imgur.com/x3HdHQS.png Currently, a non-resident only needs a ~$27 WMA permit to apply for quota hunts. If this...

Re: Vermont Turkey Trip Success
The moral of this story is that if the land is not posted you should hunt that bird, because if you wait on a call back the next guy coming down that road is going to kill him. And that is how you wind up with a ton more posted ground. All the new traveling pressure to the northeast is doing a grea...

I’m holding out for when the Fox Trot vest comes out. I hope it at least has a bologna sandwich specific pocket. I have a hard time cramming a square sandwich into an over abundance of pot call pockets. Here you go... Definitely the funniest thing I've saw on the internet today.

The original Tactical Tatr' 2. Wore the first one out in 3-4 seasons and sent it back to Cabelas and they sent me the newer version for free. This will be my 6th(?) spring with it and probably the last. Then time find a new one since they quit making these.

Re: New England states May '23
A lot more land is being posted up there these days. It’s not as easy as some let on. Being posted because all the YouTube videos and everyone blabbing their mouth about it on social media. Its ALWAYS best to ask permission first, even if it is not posted. You WILL get turned down to hunt unposted ...

What's more ridiculous is all the idiots that love him. What's sad is the younger generation looking up to him and thinking that is how turkey hunters/hunting is supposed to be.

Jealous of all these 1.5" spurs.
Best bird in one, probably my first turkey taken in Mississippi: 10.25" beard, 1.25" and 1.3125" spurs, 23lbs.
Heaviest: Iowa - 24.25lbs
Longest spurs: Nebraska: 1 3/8"
Total beard length: Idaho = 4 beards for a total of 24"

That Catman kid shoots turkeys out of trees !! I don't condone shooting waterfowl on the ground or water or shooting turkeys out of trees. I'm not that hungry, wasn't raised that way, and am truly saddened that for some people it's all about the kill, the bag, and the brag, the sport and hunting et...

Maven C.2 7x28 https://mavenbuilt.com/products/c-2-7x28-10x28 I swear these things were built for turkey hunting! They've went up $50 since I made my purchase 3 springs ago, but I absolutely love them. Perfect size to do what I need and not get in the way. These are my "wear while hunting"...

Starting out in Big Cypress in Florida with all my Pinhoti bros. Hopefully I can draw the new Mississippi non-resident public lands permit, if so, I'll be there next. Then I'll be taking my boat to hunt the lakes in TN with my idols. At the first of May, figure I'll hitch a ride to the THP meet-up i...

They are fired up when the season opens.
Florida Fish and Wildlife has a good spring turkey hunting guide that shows what public lands are open for hunting at the following link:

Ya'll using that solar panel to charge a 12 volt battery? Use one about the same size to keep a 12-volt charged for a hog trap.

What sucks is the public land regulations taking away so much opportunity from the folks who rely on public land to hunt. And we can 100% thank the YouTubers and social media for sending the masses to public land over the past few seasons. Go search YouTube for "Alabama Turkey Hunt" and th...
