Re: KY season so far
Well guys my season is over and I wasn't able to pull my weight. I ended up only getting that one turkey. I passed on some shots on some jakes and super jakes and let one gobbler with a short beard walk. This is the first time I haven't filled my tags since I ate tag soup 5 or 6 years ago. The only ...

KY season so far
Well I had to unfortunately leave the woods and come back to work for the weekend but back on vacation next week. This is how my season has gone so far. Opening day I called one in with a mouth call (which I totally suck with) and got him within 15 yards. I had a young lady with me was going to let ...

Re: Craziest thing that spooked a bird
I was setup in a blind one morning and could hear birds in a tree right behind me. I got a gobbler fired up and he was charging in over an open field. He stopped at 100 yards and was just looking at me. Then I see the back side of two birds fly down into the other field and the gobbler takes off. Im...

Congrats to both of them young ladies. Thats pretty impressive that they were both able to get one on the same day and both with a muzzleloader. You just don't see very much of that any more.

Re: team mates 5
Well no luck this afternoon. We did get to play with one gobbler but couldn't call him away from the hens. We tried circling around but lost the group.
While putting out eggs this morning I did hear a gobbler close to the house. First time I have heard birds in the woods here.

Re: Ground Blind suggestions for a 7 year old
I usually take about 6 kids hunting every spring. My main suggestion is make it more about having fun than killing a bird. Ask the kid what all he wants to take because we all know it gets boring in a blind. If he wants to take color books, game boy, or whatever let him take it. Also take some snack...

Re: Win. Sxp results for me
Very nice pattern.
Im just curious, to me the pattern is real tight at 40. How big is the pattern at shorter distances? For example, at 20 yards the pattern is only the size of a soft ball.
