I guess I got lucky two years ago. I purchased the Browning Medallion BPSs in .410, 28 and 20. I do not use them much. Sure like them though. They are heavy enough to NOT be whippy on the skeet field.

Re: Browning 10ga Gold.
I have shot both my Browning Gold 10 and my Beretta A400 Extreme Plus on the same pattern outing. 10ga load was 2oz of TSS at (supposedly 1250fps). 12ga load was 1 5/8oz TSS and about the same fps. The felt recoil of the 12ga was a little bit sharper, but not greater. Another interesting item: I hav...

Re: Browning 10ga Gold.
Update on the "new" Browning Gold 10ga. A friend of mine (fm Idaho) told me that I did not need two Browning Gold 10 ga shotguns. Also that I should sell him the one that I had just purchased. That was a valid point and he is now the new owner of my new purchase. Ahhhh.... life in the fast...

Re: These don't come up often
I had the Cynergy 3 gauge set for awhile. 20, 28, .410. The 20 was just too light. About 5.5lbs as I recall. I sold the set back to the same guy I purchased it from. He still has it. I think it will go for $3200.

There was also a lot of flooding in Ironwood and Wakefield. These two towns are at the western end of the U.P. Here in White Pine we are on high ground and we have had no flooding problems.

Re: Browning 10ga Gold.
Shooter; I must correct myself. My 1st Browning Gold 10ga has a 24" barrel, not a 26". The 2nd one has a 28" barrel. It is the 24" barrel that is my favorite. Although a 26" would be a nice compromise. Perhaps one day???????.....

Browning 10ga Gold.
Walked into a gun store in Yuma, AZ today and ...... On the used gun rack(consignment) was a Browning Gold 10ga semi auto shotgun. Black synthetic stock, steel receiver. The barrel length is 28". It comes with a Briley mod choke. Been kinda looking for that model for about 6+ years. I have the ...

Predator Calling
Finally got out to do some calling this afternoon. Beautiful day and a beautiful sunset. Made four stands, but no responders. Really want to try the 28ga 1oz load of #6TSS. Perhaps next outing.... Carl L.

Re: Got 1 coyote and a short Gray Fox Video!
When I started calling in FL in 64 the Gray Fox was the most common predator. In 3 years I only called in one red. Anyway, they normally came in on a fast run, did 2 sniffs/looks, and left the same way. Good to see they still have the same M.O. Great photo coverage Bob. All I have are a bunch of pic...

#9TSS & Pheasant
Had a fun morning Thurs. Working pheasant with a pointing dog. Flushed four, four shots, four pheasant. Beretta 687 SP3 28ga O/U, Cyl/IC chokes. Only used the Cyl bb. 3/4oz #9TSS. (Used Hal's load data) Shots were in the 15 to 22 yard range. The cyl choke barrel was throwing a 88% pattern in a 20&qu...

10ga chokes for 2oz TSS loads
I have a Browning Gold(steel receiver) 10ga auto. For the last 25+ years I have been using 2 1/4oz of high antimony nickel plated BB. Choke is a Browning extra full TURKEY, which measures .725 at muzzle and .775 at the threaded end. Overall length is 3". As I do some predator calling in CA I ne...

Re: Beretta A400 Xplor 28ga shotgun
John; My A400 20ga does have the kickoff. It also has the plastic "do dad" on the bottom of the stock wrist. A small computer that measures various items, such as shots, total shots, etc can be put in place. I believe the only model that will not have the KickOff system is the 28ga. Oddly ...

Re: Beretta A400 Xplor 28ga shotgun
John; I believe 6lbs for the A400 20ga is about right. The A400 12ga is closer to 7 lbs. Of the three, now that I have shot all three, the 12 ga is my favorite. It will handle 3/4oz to 1 1/8oz loads flawlessly. I have not tried any heavier 12ga loads yet. The 20ga A400 should cover this same range w...

Re: Beretta A400 Xplor 28ga shotgun
Some plans never end. I lost control of my "plastic" and ended up in Yuma, AZ. I purchased a Beretta A400 Xplor Action 28ga 28" bbl. Just lost control I guess.... lol. It was the TSS aspect that tipped the scale in favor of the 28ga. Now I have A400s in 12, 20, and 28ga. I hope they d...

Re: Beretta A400 Xplor 28ga shotgun
The 28ga question is now a non event. Stopped in a Cabela's (Mitchell, SD) and purchased the 12ga and 20ga Beretta Xplor Action 28" bbl. Shot the 12ga today, at skeet, using factory 1 1/8oz 3dram loads. Between the Kickoff and the gas cycling system, recoil just does not seem to exist. On round...

Beretta A400 Xplor 28ga shotgun
I am seriously thinking about purchasing one of A400 shotguns in 28ga. My question is: How far does this shotgun toss the empties? Anyone have any experience with this model of Beretta? The only 28ga shotgun, I have owned, that pretty much dumped the empties within 4 or 5 ft consistently was a Rem 1...
