Re: Benelli M2

Your peripheral view is greater because the sight is not close to your eye. This, it’s not what you are seeing through the lenses, it’s what you can overall physically see When the sight is on the receiver close to your eye and you trying to scan for an approaching bird you will find yourself looki...

Sitka turkey vest

I'm a kitchen sink kind of guy. I have handled the Sitka vest, well made, my local shop has them hanging up for sale, but it won't carry enough for me. I bet my vest is easily 30 pounds when loaded to hunt. Sitka is good gear, I have a good bit, but I won't be getting one of these vests. It does lo...

Re: Mississippi's most wanted outlaw

For someone to kill 19 birds in 45 days, they either have property covered up with bird and or are baiting.

Hunting the average land without bait, I find that about impossible.

Re: Best mount on a benelli m2 20 ga for either a fastfire or holosun sight

I second meadowcreek

I prefer it over my drill and tap mounted red dot all day long

I especially like the field of view you get with it being farther away from your face

I don’t have to look at everything through the lens due to that

I start really close to where I shoot holes in the target. Like 15’

Every times that’s all I’ve needed to do and it took the guessing the best pattern part out the equation.

I’d rather just see long seasons and archery only

I hate losing the opportunity to go hunt!

Re: Heading West? Be aware

I envy you guys that have turkey hunting buddies. I can’t find anyone who wants to travel to hunt them. Typical response, you’re going all the way to South Dakota to kill a turkey??? So I’m going by myself. My circle of friends are not as fanatical as I am. Most times it’s the best way. It’s about ...

I just Breast them.

If going to mount and you want to skin it out yourself, you cut from inner thigh across and up the other inner thigh. Then peel him out his skin

Save some money and get a Carlson’s. I had them both and the Carlson shot better for me. It’s a .555, little tight at 15 tho

Re: Gobbler calls

This spring was odd in our area and we did very very well but gobbler yelps and gobbling got many to commit. Icedturkeys is correct in saying that many think jakes yelping are hens and I think many birds are killed by responding to jake yelps. Thing is, the people making those yelps think they are ...

What do you shoot through it? And how’s it pattern? Also have you shot it through a chrono to check velocity?

I have some loaded up I am probably going to shoot tomo. I shoot the 1-5/8 oz 9 shot now. But I am only hoping to get good pattern out of the MOA to shoot 8 shot instead of 9s so I dnt expect more pellets on target, just bigger pellets
