Sounds like a striker issue. If your striker is a hardwood it will need sanding more often. The few times that I take a glass call I sand my striker several times every day

Days that I hunt public, I would rather they didnt gobble on the limb and fire up after fly down. Most people get anxious and move if they hear nothing from the limb.
